Behind the Scenes

My photography journey begins in Maui. In 2009 my husband and I went on an anniversary vacation to Maui so I decided to buy a small point and shoot camera at our local department store to capture our memories while there. As soon as I started snapping our vacation photos I realized that I was doing so much more than that. I was telling a story through photos  that that I could actually share with others. I could freeze a specific moment and then have others feel what I was feeling at the exact moment I took the picture. That small purchase completely changed my life! It opened a world of possibilities where I was able to share my experiences with others, document the things I love and show the moments that mattered in my life. It is my goal that with every photograph I take I am able to capture the essence of the moment at hand.
