The Side Porch White Barn Wedding
This venue is hands down my most favorite place ever! II don’t know what I loved most, the Farmhouse where the bride and her girls get ready or the Barn where the ceremony was to be held! Beautiful. The venue was beautiful, the location is beautiful, the owners the most beautiful people ever! Taylor and Andrew said “I Do” on May 18th 2019 right in this amazing location surrounded by the most amazing, sweetest and welcoming friends and family.
I arrived to Johnson city, TN the day before the big day in order to attend the rehearsal dinner and finally meet the happy couple. We had been in communication for months and the day was finally here. I arrived at The Side Porch and immediately fell in love. As you drive in to the property you are met with the most picturesque Farmhouse and as you keep driving you come upon the BARN! For a Cali girl a BARN is everything, we don’t see these everyday here lol
I drove up and finally had the honor of meeting our bride and groom and their amazing families. Though we had never met before we quickly got acquainted and felt right at home. It is so easy to see why they chose this location for their wedding. From the creek running through the property to the lovely family that owns it, it was all I expected and more.
Taylor and Andrew got engaged on on Taylor’s 20th Birthday
“ Andrew took me to a local park. We were walking down to the lake and came across the gazebo. There was a table and chairs, flowers, and a book set up. We sat down and I started looking through the book, which had pictures of us in it. I got to a page that had a hole carved out with a black box inside. Andrew pulled the ring out of his sock, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. I said, ‘Did you ask my dad?!’ But finally said yes!”
The florals were romantic, unique and so colorful and fun! Which is why the bridal party wore white and grey. This was to allow all the florals to really pop. Thank you Aunt Willie’s Wildflowers, your work is amazing!
Taylor and Andrew met in 2015 when they both were staffed at the same church camp.
